(Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, CEO: Katsumi Kuroiwa) is pleased to announce that its Representative Director, CEO, Katsumi Kuroiwa, has been named to Billboard’s 2026 Global Power Players for the fourth consecutive year by the U.S. music magazine Billboard. Brandon Silverstein, CEO of Avex Music Group LLC (Headquarters: California, U.S.; hereinafter “AMGL”), has also been recognized on this year’s list for the second consecutive year.
Billboard’s Global Power Players is an annual list published by Billboard recognizing influential leaders in the global music industry. The list highlights executives from countries and regions outside the United States who have made significant contributions to the global music business.
In this year’s selection, AMGL received particular recognition for its expanding global publishing activities. Notably, songwriter Kamal Wilson, who is signed to AMGL’s publishing roster, contributed to Kehlani’s track “Folded,” which went on to win Best R&B Song at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. AMGL has also been involved in works by numerous top international artists, including Drake (“Nokia”), Rihanna (“Friend of Mine”), and Justin Bieber (“Swag”), further demonstrating the company’s growing presence and influence in the global music publishing business. Through these achievements, AMGL continues to expand its global publishing business and further strengthen the Avex Group’s presence in the international music industry.
